Dan carefully considered the Admiral's question. What had he learned from this experience? Alot, to be frank, and while he was happy he'd learned it now, he was a bit displeased that he hadn't learned it sooner.

Natalie would probably say it was lingering issues with the Serenity. He shook his head slightly, hoping that somehow those ghosts would leave him some day.

Dan: I learned to trust my crew. I learned to trust them to make the right calls, even if I'm not available to make those calls for them. It surprised me to realize they were willing and able to shoot the ship I and their other crew-mates were on to protect the whole, while simultaneously giving us as much time as they were able to fulfill the mission we'd been sent on. They followed orders implicitly and magnificently and I should have expected no less from them. I'll make sure to remember the lessons I've learned this week, and put them to good use.

He blinked after saying it. He hadn't realized how passionately he felt about the whole thing until just then. He smiled.

Dan: T'was a damn good time though.

Tennant: Soooo, killed their captain eh?  Bet that was a shock for both of you eh?  hehahaha.  Well, I'm glad we all learned something.

Picard: If I may be so bold, what did you learn of us Admiral?

Tennant:  Me?  Well captain, I learned that you're both mad.  Absolutely insane.  And I wouldn't have it any other way.  Now come on, let's party!

Admiral Tennant heads for the lift.

[Captain McCall]

[Starbase Atlantis - Operations - 11:40 (Approximately)]

ON

McCall had been looking over some diagnostic reports. Parties had never been his thing... and it wasn't his celebration to share in. After all, he had work to do. Reports to review, docking requests, status reports from the spacedock; daily things that he had to handle or else no one else would.

He looked up at the officer whose panel had just alerted him to a communique.

McCall: Status, Lieutenant.

Lieutenant Blaze looked down, reading over the message.

Blaze: Sir, we have an urgent message from Starbase 13. The USS Enterprise is recalled from leave, and requested to make haste to Osiris Alpha IV. There's some kind of ecological disaster, and they are needed for immediate humanitarian relief. They'll be accompanying the USS Noble.

McCall's eyes widened. Osiris... wasn't that a bit far from here? He shook his head.

McCall: Transmit that message to the Enterprise. [He hit his commbadge]   Captain McCall to all Enterprise crew members. You have been recalled to active duty, please report to the Enterprise.

[Admiral Tennant]

[Starbase Atlantis Operations - 15:00]

ON

Operations was alive with activity when Hailey Calaway looked up from her panel.

Calaway: Captain, the Poseidon is approaching... [She pauses] They're not accompanied by the Belgrade.

Casey McCall shook his head. Lost ships were the worst... so much paperwork. He was glad he had very little part in that part of it.

McCall: Grant them permission to dock and let them know of the Admiral's request. Also, let the-

Admiral Tennant arrived on the turbolift and looked at the viewscreen.

Tennant: Ah, the Poseidon! Captain, have you informed them of my request to come aboard?

McCall: Yes sir. They were informed, and have acknowledged the request.

Tennant smiled jovially.

Tennant: Then it won't do to have the Captain kept waiting, especially considering current events.

Tennant and McCall get on the transporter pad, then transport to the Poseidon.

[Operations - 17:05]

ON

McCall was pacing across Operations, checking over shoulders over various readings and studies being done. He made it a point to be kept up to date on everything that was being studied and scanned, communicated and displayed across the station, so the staff had gotten quite used to it.

He came up to the officer manning sensors, and looked over his shoulder.

McCall: Status of the Daiguren?

Lieutenant Avis looked back at his commanding officer with confusion.

Avis: I was actually about to speak to you on that matter, sir. About 2 minutes ago, the Daiguren disappeared. I'm accessing the remote sensor outpost near its last position... but...

McCall's eyes narrowed.

McCall: But?

Avis: It was sudden.

McCall looked at him for a moment, realizing exactly what Avis was implying. He'd keep his cool though, because if that had happened...

McCall: What does the outpost show?

Avis: Checking now, sir.

An extraordinary amount of time passed, and McCall's patience began to wear thin. However, he kept his mouth shut for the time. Avis finally turned back to him, shakily.

Avis: [Whispered] Sir. Captain Rydell's runabout was destroyed by unknown weapons fire. The sensor outpost just verified that.

A runabout in Federation space... it was inconceivable that it had happened, yet... The sensors couldn't confirm it, but he bet that if he could take a closer look at them, he could confirm it was Cardassian. But...

McCall: For now, keep this information quiet. Please send a copy of your report to my office as well as Admiral Tennant. [He looks over at comms] Please contact the Poseidon, let them know I'll be coming to speak to Captain Velarafont. Do it now.

He was on the lift before the response met his ears.

[Operations - 18:30]

ON:

Vanessa: Turner to Ops.

Ops:  Ops here.

Vanessa:  I have reason to believe that Lt. Cmdr. Banana and Lt. Cmdr. Doss are mentally unstable and need to be in the Infirmary.  They are not responding to their comm badges and may be masking their life signs.  I need a security detail to search the Poseidon AND the Station as well as any ship docked here immediately.

Ops:  Understood, Ops out.

The operations officer, a plucky young ensign, began a sensor sweep for the comm badges as well as sending an alert to station security and poseidon security.
